My Story.
Growing up in a military family, my childhood was far from normal. From California and Texas to North Carolina and Colorado, I never lived in a place longer than five years. Most kids might have resented their parents for taking them away from their social circles so frequently, but not me. At a young age I discovered my inherent interest in new cultures, new people and new environments, and to this day, that very inquisitive nature has remained a fundamental part of my life, even paving the way for my career in writing.
Knowing that everything and everyone in life has a story to tell, I pursued a degree in journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. As I approached graduation, I decided writing was my future, but a career in journalism was not. With that intuition, I parted ways with the media, opting to test the waters of corporate public relations and copywriting. Using words to invigorate and define corporate identity resonated with me, and as a result, the corporate communications environment became my career setting of choice.
Currently, I am a PR practitioner at a wholesale distribution company and perform freelance work on the side. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
